U.S. Census Bureau Poverty Data

Poverty data by age categories is available in the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey

  • Go to the U.S. Census Bureau’s American FactFinder
  • Enter a state, county, city, town, or zip code and click “GO”
  • Scroll down on the left list of demographic factors and click on Poverty and then click on the first option in the list of 2016 American Community Survey reports, “Poverty Status in the Past 12 Months (Age, Sex, Race, Education, Employment, …)
  • The data will display in a table, and you also can download as a spreadsheet or formatted presentable document
